Top 10 of 2008
Let me just preface this by saying WHERE THE FUCK WERE ALL THE JAMS THIS YEAR?...mostly I lost my DJ spot and my access. Nevertheless...

Art rockers take all. This album shot white light all through my life.

Why do I love you so? Maybe it's the subliminal title, or the neon art work, or the muscles...especially Antony, of Antony and the Johnsons.

Some jock introduced these nintendo-electro jams to me in web art and I've been gay ever since.

Dude, did you hear the new Cut Copy? It's amazing!
No, did you hear the old one?
Needless to say, loved it.

I went to see this duo live this year. My ears are still ringing from over-stimulated pleasure. They were throwing these out with giant balloons, neither of which I caught-pissed!

At times Santogold reminds me of early No Doubt which my retro soul craves daily; a sound which was only made better by the audacious* sounds of my great man-crush Diplo, whom wowz on his own but really verges on contraband when he pairs up. (M.I.A. anyone?)
*the audacity of jams

I don't know what it is that sounds fresh, but it gets me wet.

These boys are too hip. Let's all agree to kill them.

I was obsessed with a few of these songs for a long time, if for no other reason than sometimes I swear Nichole's budgies start taking over my brain.

Are you kidding? There is so much to digest in these songs that it's almost impossible to not meat everyone on some level...esp. the level of bacon (yes, it's that good).
Also...
I totally dug TV On the Radio's Dear Science but never heard it enough;
same with Portishead's Third;
& M83's Saturday's = Youth (though I have been watching some M0lly Ringwald);
Erykah Badu's Amerikuh was incredible but I'm not sure I have the street cred to put it on my top 10;
liked Vampire Weekend's ST but am too pretentious, though I do know that British English Teacher's give a fuck about an oxford comma;
& Beach House's Devotion was enjoyable.
Other mentionable releases:
The Virgins, Late of the Pier, Ladytron, The Kills, Health, CSS, The Teenagers, Does it Offend You Yeah?, Hearts Revolution, Kid Sister...
I'm sure there are more, however, I broke my computer. Whoopsie!
So I probably missed out on a lot, please please please fill me in!!!

SANTOGOLD tied with SANTOGOLD & DIPLO
